the POTUS said it himself... now what will he do?

The year was 2013.

Congress had shutdown the government on October 1, 2013, and the shutdown lasted until October 17, 2013. 

That means Donald Trump voiced this statement during the second term of President Barack Obama.

"A shutdown falls on the president's lack of leadership. I mean problems start from the top and they have to get solved from the top. A shutdown means the president is weak."

So said the man who would be POTUS for two non-sequential terms.

So said the man whose Congress has shutdown the government once again, this time beginning on October 1, 2025., during the second term of President Donald Trump.

I certainly hope this shutdown means Congress members are not getting paid.

I certainly hope this shutdown means President Trump and his Cabinet, his aides and his Secret Service, his pilots of Air Force One, are also doing without pay.

After all, this shutdown is due to the "president's lack of leadership", which means he is doing a poor job, by his own words.

Hoisted with his own petard, he is.

I just love it when Shakespeare's centuries-old words come back to bite someone in the butt. 

I wonder how long he will allow this shutdown to continue before he takes control and brings it to a halt.
