What a nice way to finish out my last Cinco de Mayo as a 66-year-old!
Mi amiga, Sandy, invited me to join her group for Music Bingo at Midtown Sports Grill... so I went! The games were even free!!!
There were four total, and were individually played, but we helped each other to identify any songs we didn't recognize.
"We" were me, Sandy, Marcia, Elissa, and Joel.
Elissa won the second game, Joel won the third one... and, incredibly, I won the fourth! That game was "British Invasion" and we had to get two lines.
It didn't matter if they were diagonal, vertical, or horizontal, just any which way that we could.
I had that diagonal for the longest time, as well as those lower three in the vertical column, but couldn't seem to get the other two needed.
Then, as I was singing "We Will Rock You" and marking it off, I looked to see what the song was that I needed to finish the column."My Generation"???
That had been the previous song I was singing along to!!!
Hooray!!!
I won a free drink - LOL!
I very nearly got a virgin margarita, but the group was leaving.
Maybe next time?
Meanwhile, thanks, Firestone, for buying my nachos!
They gave me a $10 credit for my upcoming bday67.
Very nice to celebrate with Sandy and music!
Maybe I'll join her for karaoke there next Wednesday... it's been a while.
(smile!)
