tina tuesday with a twist

This time, it wasn't AMC hosting my movie-viewing.
It was NCG Cinema.
They promised me an instant 300 points for watching Jason Statham's latest, "Shelter", so that's where I was earlier.
Of course, the title made me think of the missed Florida trip with cuzn Jeff a ouple of years ago.
So, why not go see it for free with my A*List?
Because I knew I would be at this cinema for "Anyone But You" at 4:30 PM, so Carolyn and I could continue our fun with the Rom-Com Film Fest!
If I was already there, then I wouldn't let the chilly weather stop me.
That's the way to do it, right?
(smile!
What a great movie combo that truly was, too!
"Shelter" had been set in cold climes, with everyone bundled up, but the Glen Powell movie had him butt-naked several times and nearly so several more, there at the tropical beach resort.
Oh, yeah, that got the blood running in my veins!
In fact, both of us were pretty warmed up by the end, so off we went to dinner, with mi amiga choosing OD Crab House again.
I had the platter with eight of those great shrimp and three very good chicken fingers, taking half home.
Carolyn had the same as last time, but added a side of grilled onions and zucchini.
Those were so good!!!
Next time, I plan to get the grilled shirmp appetizer and that veggie dish - oh, yeah!
Then, as I dropped her back at her car, she gave me two boxes of cereal and a bag of cookies, courtesy of her housemate Bill.
I gave her something, too: the collage of photos Hai Dang made for me back in 2014, from our trip to Jacksonville and other locales.
I know she sees him from time to time.
Well, so do I, but here's the difference: the barefoot hobo hasn't spoken to me in well over a decade.
No need for that collage to be on my hall wall.
Good to have that gone!
I kept the frame, of course.
Now, let me see if I can find that 'serenity song' that everyone was singing at the end of the beach movie...
"Unwritten", wasn't it?
(smile!)

going chinese with mi amiga!

I'm so glad Carolyn agreed to change our movie outing to today!

We went to the first two offerings of the NCG Rom-Com Film Festival on Mondays, and so we had planned to see this third one, "Crazy Rich Asians", tomorrow.

We both just adore the wedding scene, with the water flowing as the bride wades through it to the altar - just magical!

And everyone holds illuminated butterflies for her to walk under - so very lovely!

With "Can't Help Falling In Love" being sung in the background as she proceeds - beautiful!

So, why change the date for our rendezvous with Henry Golding and Awkwafina and "Yellow" in Mandarin?

"Blame it on the Hell", to paraphrase Milli Vanilli.

Neither of us wanted to be in 30-degree temperatures after dark.

So we went to the matinee and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We both came out wanting Chinese for dinner!

I suggested Wang's II, but Sakura was the winner.

More choices means more favorites on that buffet!

Coconut shrimp! Baked fish! Grilled Chicken on a stick!

Apple strudel! Plantains! French fries!

Broccoli stirfry!

Green beans!!!

And that was just my plate!

Then we both had seconds, as she had missed out on the green beans.

She simply hadn't known where they were!

I loaded up with more of those veggies, as they are so very delicious!

I even got more of the coconut shrimp, pleased that it tasted more like an entree than a dessert.

Plus, I had Chinese stirfry noodles with onions...

and smiley face balls for dessert.

for love of a great-uncle

There they stand, with a cardboard cutout of their Great-Uncle.
The diminutive man had been a genius when it came to getting movies financed after the silent film era had passed and the more expensive 'talkies' entered.
Producers' names aren't usually what I notice in movie credits, so it was no surprise to me that I'd never heard of Edward Small.
These three relatives - Roy Cranman, the great-nephew; Karen Botnick Paz, Roy's wife; and Michelle "Shellie" Schmals, the third cousin - are out to make their Great-Uncle better known to those who love film.
That's why they'd set up this viewing of "Solomon And Sheba" at the Savannah JEA, posting news of the event on fb all this past week.
I'd asked my amigas to come with me, but only Carolyn did, getting there in plenty of time to stay dry on what became a very stormy Sunday afternoon.
Honestly, the crashing of the thunder outside was a a perfect counterpoint for all the clashing of swords and heated sexual overtones in this 1959 movie!!!
Carolyn actually remembered seeing the movie when it first came out in the cinema!
She was about 13 years old and was captivated by the racy costumes that Gina Lollobrigita wore, by the huge battle scenes waged between 'Solomon' and his brother, 'Adonijah', for the title of 'King of Israel', and by the saucy dances performed by the pagan 'Queen of Sheba' and her people - wow!!!
I know I would have been just as mesmerized if I'd seen it as a teen!
As it was, it was a fabulous retelling of a Biblical tale, with a large dose of literary license and a 39-year-old Yul Brynner, with a marvelous head of hair, as 'Solomon'!
Carolyn and I very much enjoyed the pre-film and post-film talks, too, with Roy telling stories about his Great-Uncle Eddie - very cool!

Then, as the rain had passed, we adjourned to Chili's for dinner and talk.
She loves their menu as much as I do, especially those 3-for-me combos!
She had the Ole-Timer Burger, we both shared the chips and salsa, and I took most of that Shrimp Cajun Pasta home for another meal.
She ate every bit of hers!
And she must have thanked me three times for inviting her to come out to that movie!
I'm so glad she enjoyed it, too!
Dinner and a movie - always better with a friend!

i think i found a winner!

"At Music Bingo?? Did you finally win again? It's been a while."

That it has been! We keep getting these new folks joining us, and they win, so that's good. But none of us regulars at this table have been so lucky.

"There's that key word: luck. Bingo isn't a game of skill, which is why everyone can play it. It's purely a game of chance, of luck, of good fortune... of the Universe providing you with a card that has the right numbers that get called. Rather, in the case of these Monday night games, a card that has the right songs that happen to come up in Jade's playlist."

I thought her name was Sara...

"Yeah, you got that wrong, sunshine, but that's okay!"

Hmmm... okay if you say so!

"I did, I do believe. (smile!) Now, what were you saying about a winner?"

Oh, that. The food! Their menu is fairly limited, as the Midtown Sports Grill caters to the type of food my brothers like for their game-watching. I get it. The name of the joint spells that out. Still, I was thrilled to learn last week that they allow grownups to order from the kids' selection! Tonight, I was quite hungry, so I ordered the regular chicken finger plate, with its four fingers grilled, and a side of tater tots - and I ate every bit!

"Well, good for you! Next time, you should bring a Lactaid with you so you can check out their Greek salad. That always looks so good when Elissa gets it."

Honestly, that's what I wanted this time! But I forgot the pill. Hence, the chicken fingers.  Oh, with honey mustard sauce! I ate all of that, too!

"And who all was there this time?"

Marcia with her daughter, Amanda, who brought her 10 yo daughter, Sheva. Sandy, who didn't arrive until the bottom of the 2nd game, due to nap interference. Then Elissa with her sister-in-law, Jan. Jan, of course, won the first game! LOL! Then her good luck rubbed off on Elissa, who won the third game! That was nice, as it's been a while since she won a free drink!

"Sounds like it was a wonderful evening! I'm so glad you have this in your life!"

Me, too! (smile!) And now it's time for "The Quiz With Balls"! Yes!

happy bday79, Carolyn!

I'm glad there was even a nice cake for you!

I was glad to take you to Jason's Deli for dinner and, of course, to let you get the strawberry shortcake.

Thankfully, you saved it to eat when you got home!

Of course, that was partly because we closed the joint down!

We spent so long talking at AMC after the movie that we ran out of options for a place to dine together.

I'm so glad I found out you were going to the 4:45 PM screening of "The Bad Guys 2"!

I'd just stepped out of the 2 PM showing of that very movie when I texted you for your birthday and you responded with your plans.

I'm so glad I decided to stay and wait for you!

The smile on your face when you saw my car still in the parking lot was proof I was in the right place at the right time!

I'm so glad my A*List was so bare that I could stay and see the movie again with you, sharing laughter!

i thank You, God, for this time together!

do you have a reservation, part four

For two Saturdays in a row, I've been part of a group heading out to dine.
In both cases, one member of the party made a reservation to hold a table for us.
That's not something I'm accustomed to here in Savannah.
That's because these weren't upper-scale dining establishments, like Sapphire Grill or Elizabeth's on 37th.
For those two, a reservation is in order for two reasons: 1) a meal will run about $100 per person, and 2) they have very limited seating.
Neither of those were on our schedule either night.

Last night's venture out was to Oak 36 with mi amiga Sandy and her crew.
This time, we were accompanied by Kathy, Elissa, and Marcia.
I had the Picnic Primavera, in fond memory of my recent bday67 girls' trip and the three picnic lunches we shared.
Very nice it was, and I had a taste of Kathy's Fish & Chips and Marcia's Brussels sprouts!
Here's the point, though.
When it came time to pay our tabs, Elissa found out that she earned a $10 credit for next time, as she had been the one who arranged the reservation for our party.
What a nice perk!

Last Saturday's night out had almost gone wrong, though.
Joel made the reservation that time.
We were to go to Flock To The Wok, and they required a deposit of $20 per person - ouch!
Then, when he came to pick me up, the thunderstorm that had been threatening let loose, forcing us to pull off the road.
Fortunately, when he called the restaurant, they allowed him to cancel with no charge - hooray!
Sandy and Elissa were with us and they welcomed my recommendation to go to The Narra Tree - hooray!
Marcia joined us and we all shared Lumpia, courtesy of Joel - very nice!
I'm sure that was a relief to him, as he would have lost $100 if the other restaurant had not agreed to cancel his reservation.

So, two different experiences with reservations.
Wait... make that three, including the one to The Rainforest Cafe.
That had also required a credit card deposit to hold our table.
I forgot about that, since Christina made that reservation.
I still favor eateries that let you just walk up and dine.

two with Christina! plus bingo with Sandy!

Hahahaha! Christina thought she was going to get away with just seeing one movie with me, but she had been the one to suggest "a movie or two" and I held her to it!
By the way, that photo was taken by her, not me.
No, my phone is still working perfectly again, so that's not the reason why she took it.
I just couldn't get the shot lined up and her boyfriend was on his way.
Looks like she couldn't line it up, either!
We were sitting in her car, trying to charge her phone, but in the photo, it looks like I'm the driver and she's the passenger.
Nope!
That's just how her phone 'saw' it!
Stupid smart phone!!!
I took this shot, though, at our Olive Garden luncheon.
Even dressed down in a t-shirt and ball cap, she still looks pulled together!
Her one complaint was that her earrings had gold in them instead of silver.
Most definitely a first-world problem!
Hahahaha!
The luncheon was between the two movies on today's menu.
The first one, seen at 11 AM, was "Kung Fu Panda 4", which is part of NCG Cinema's Summer Camp Film Festival.
(Notice those commas, sprinkled like glitter! Inside joke with Christina!)
I do so enjoy that movie, especially with my memories of going to it with her girls!
Speaking of them, they are off to a summer camp at Tybee.
She had to drop them off here in Savannah, so that's why she was in town.
That had been at 7 AM, so I let her nap during the movie.
(smile!)
But there was no napping during the horror movie at AMC!!!
I had been the one to suggest "Final Destination Bloodlines", not her.
That's because I wanted to see Tony Todd in action and hear his last words.
I had know him as Worf's brother, Kurn, in two different "Star Trek" series, one of which dealt with the Klingon's bloodline.
Nice coincidence, right?
Bloodlines and Oogway and all that?
And how was that movie?
To my surprise, it had a very good story!
It helped that it stood apart from others in the horror series, though she told me all of the "Final Destination" movies are stand-alone.
"That's because everyone dies," she told me.
My first niece had seen all of them, but didn't recall Todd's character.
That's because she had only regarded him as a hospital worker in three earlier films of the franchise.
Overall, a very nice day in her company!
i thank You, God!
I left her in Anthony's company as I headed off to Music Bingo!
Mi amiga Sandy was going to be at Midtown Sports Grill, so I was, too.
Elissa and Marcia filled out our booth for four!
Sara, the game emcee, gave us each two cards to play for each round - how very nice!
There's only one problem with that.
I have enough trouble trying to keep up with the songs on one game card!
Hahahaha!
Even so, I did win the third game tonight.
"Movie Soundtracks" are certainly my jam, and the last two songs I needed for the double line of bingo were "Psycho"...
and "Star Wars" for the win!!!!
Absolutely perfect!!!
That meant my tall, cool, glass of lemonade was free!
Hooray!
What a marvelous Monday this has been!
Now to watch some more "Grimm".
I'm in the 6th, and final, season and intend to finish this week.
(smile!)

somedays, ya gotta have the coffee

One of these days, and it needs to be soon, I need to have a face-to-face with Sarah Logan-Reynolds.
Of all the Lunch Ladies I once met with regularly, she's the only one still here.
Not that they've died, mind.
No, life has intruded and they've moved away.

So, why has Sarah come up?
She posted this meme on fb in the last few days and I found it hilarious!
(smile!)
I know, I recently made note of my lack of indulging in coffee these days.
Even so, I've had plenty of mornings when I doubt I would have made it out of the house without of cup of java, a cup of joe, a hit of caffeine.
Right?
Even after the switch to decaf, my brain still needs to believe that what's in the cup is fully loaded.
This morning, I found myself making coffee.
Which cup did I choose?
The one with me and Barbara and Sandy, off on our North Caroline adventure on Beech Mountain...
good times with me amigas!
It's even a white cup.
(smile!)

a different trio than planned, but still a trio!

Sandy and Elissa were already in the car when Joel came by to pick me up.
He had reservations at Flock To The Wok, downtown, so we were riding together to avoid the parking hassle on a Saturday night.
We never made it past Jenkins High School.
That's where Joel pulled over because the rain made it impossible to see.

Did I say rain?
This was more than that, just continuous avalanche of water from the sky.
The torrential downpour had waited until exactly 6:30 PM to strike, just as I was getting into the car.
What timing!
So, we waited in the school parking lot, watching walls of water get erected on DeRenne Avenue as vehicles plowed through the flood on the road.
After ten minutes, he called to see if he could cancel the reservation.
Amazingly, the restaurant allowed him to do so!
That meant we needed to decide on a new place to dine.
I rattled off names of nearby sites, but it was The Narra Tree that drew wholehearted agreement from the others - Hooray!
Marcia met us there, having chosen to drive solo.
Joel ordered lumpia for all, which was quite magnanimous of him!

I had the giant House Salad, plus dessert with my meal.
I couldn't resist the concept of the Ube Tiramisu, which combined the purple potato of the Philippines with the Italian coffee concoction.
I wasn't prepared for the delicate lavender tint the sweet treat had!
I portioned it into six servings, so all could share, taking a cue from Joel.
Sandy and Marcia both had some, and I was only too glad to polish it off!
(smile!)
After dining, the next stop would have been Peacock Lounge, had we been downtown.
Instead, we went to Colleagues & Lovers, the arty bar next door to the Music Bingo place on Habersham.
We all sat in the back, with this painting catching our attention.
We all saw a naked woman, but some thought it was from her front.
I said it was her back to us, with her arms raised as she shook out the red dress that she was about to pull on.
The artist had her positioned such that we could not see her butt crack.
We could tell this was a woman, though, by the curve of her hip toward her waist.
As to why she was shaking out the dress, perhaps it had landed on the floor and been rumpled in her haste to have sex.
That would be my guess.
Been there, done that, loved every minute of it!
Perception is in the eye of the art beholder!
(smile!)
After their cocktails, it was time for the next site on the agenda.
That would have been Alley Cat Lounge, had we still been following that original plan.
Instead, we bopped over to The Palace Diner, over on Abercorn.
I was ready for a little something substantial, as the salad was wearing off.

Then, there it was on the menu!
French Toast, made with Challah bread... and they had peanut butter chips!!!
Oh, yes, Elvis would definitely have ordered that, so I did, too!!!
And did it make this girl holla
You bet it did!
I just should have saved part of it for breakfast tomorrow.
I've been home an hour and I'm still stuffed.
Next time I'll save half... maybe!
(smile!

bday57 dinner with Sandy!

"Um.. two things wrong about that. Your birthday isn't until next week, first of all. Second, your 57th was a decade ago."

Silly rabbit. The dinner at Ta Ca was her 57th, something already planned, kinda sorta, by her trivia friends. That means the treat and date were definite, just not the location. I regarded that as one of my birthday celebrations for this year. Why not?

"Why not? You've been known to celebrate your birthday for more than a month on more than one occasion!"

I'm just saying that I won't be seeing mi amiga around my bday67 as I'll be off with the first niece and her two girls. "Her two girls" - how wonderful to be able to say that after all these years!

"I agree! It still seems like a dream for the adoption to have finally been finalized. Also, I thought Sandy's birthday was the night of the Spook-Easy... no?"

Yes, it was, but she's having multiple days of celebration. Isn't that wonderful? These are some good folks she's been hanging out with, going to Trivia on Thursdays, Music Bingo on Mondays, karaoke at The Diner on Saturdays... and that's just what I know about. Tonight, the three I met at that Bingo a few weeks ago - Marcia, Elissa, Joel - were all there. Also, remember Kelly, the one who went to Rancho Alegre with us after the dance? She was there, too, and gave me big hugs! That was very nice.

"Sounds like a nice party!"

It was! There were seven of us all total, including me and Sandy and two others I didn't know. Fortunately, I sat beside Joel and across from Elissa and Marcia, so I was able to get to know them a little better. That's good! I know Sandy invited me to be there, but, as I told her, I didn't really know these people and didn't want anyone to think I was just barging into their party. She assured me it would be alright... and it was! Very nice! I'm glad I went!

"I'm glad you went, too, dear. I know you can be a bit reluctant to hang out with strangers at close quarters, but you have met several of these people multiple times now. You should be getting a bit more comfortable around them. Right?"

Yes, you're right on all counts. I know part of that trepidation was the cost. I've been forgoing a lot of activities this month, as I have that bday67 vacation coming up. Plus there's the city and county property taxes, all of which need to be paid early as I won't be here when they're due. I'm still working on paying off those taxes from the fall, as I'd had to charge them. Ack. I keep trying to steer folks toward luncheons and dinners at restaurants where I have gift cards, but that hasn't worked out.

"That's okay, you'll still have those for when you return home in June."

Yes, I will! Thanks for that cheery reminder.

"You betcha. I got your back, g'friend. Now, go out there and enjoy yourself, wherever you go to next!"

Thanks! Actually, I was meant to be there tonight. When I pulled back into my driveway, just before I turned off the engine I caught the lit odometer reading. It wasn't a palindrome, nor was it quite right, but it was rather symmetrical. The mileage was 241124. Right place, right time

"Exactly what I was saying. (smile!)"

that ain't no karaoke....

... but I'm glad I'd gotten the free tickets for this alternative!

I'd texted Sandy to say I'd decided to come along to Midtown Sports Grille after all for the aforementioned empty orchestra night.

After all, today was her 57th birthday.

(smile!)

Joel and Elissa were there with her and all had chosen appetizers for dining.

I opted to not order, as they were at the end of their dishes and weren't staying for dinner.

Hey, I'm a very slow eater, a'ight?

Plus, I'd brought along tickets to another event.

Might they be interested in the "Wicked Good Spook-Easy" going on over at Sixby?

Justthatfast, those two whipped out their phones to look up the particulars!

I'd only ordered three of the free passes, but I doubted that would be an issue... so we all piled into Joel's car and headed off for this new venue.

It wasn't actually at Sixby so much as Sixby adjacent, in the area for patio dining, as well as behind the little breakfast-brunch place.

Hardly had we gotten there before I saw Jason Arons!

He had a chica at his table, so we grabbed the last table and a couple of chairs, then settled in to hear the open mic of "ghost stories"!

I don't remember all of them, but I do recall the one from pirate Dalton, representing The Nightly Spirits.

His story was all about the rotating cast of ghosts at Five Below, a discount store.

That certainly hit me as an odd place for spirits to hang about!

Jason took a turn at the microphone, representing Cobblestone Tours; so did Hodoo Joe and Madame Red of Spooky Savannah, Bridgit of The Witching Hour, and a whole slew of others.

Joel even tried out one of the boo-ze free drinks supplied by Curious Elixirs, but I don't think he quite liked it.

My favorite part of the show?

The songs about Delia Green, the 14-year-old girl shot dead on Christmas Day by her 15-year-old boyfriend back at the turn of the 20th century.

Hodoo Joe sang three different versions of the song, including the one that Johnny Cash had made famous, "Delia's Gone".

I certainly hadn't expected that!

What a nice introduction to some of the ghost tour groups here in Savannah!

But our night was not quite done.

As we sat in Joel's car when we pulled back up on Habersham, guess what song came up on his phone?

Donovan's "Season Of The Witch" - complete with black cat trotting across the street!

What a fitting end to our unplanned evening!

(smile!)

my generation, we will rock you!

What a nice way to finish out my last Cinco de Mayo as a 66-year-old!

Mi amiga, Sandy, invited me to join her group for Music Bingo at Midtown Sports Grill... so I went!

The games were even free!!!

There were four total, and were individually played, but we helped each other to identify any songs we didn't recognize.

"We" were me, Sandy, Marcia, Elissa, and Joel.

Elissa won the second game, Joel won the third one... and, incredibly, I won the fourth!

That game was "British Invasion" and we had to get two lines.

It didn't matter if they were diagonal, vertical, or horizontal, just any which way that we could.

I had that diagonal for the longest time, as well as those lower three in the vertical column, but couldn't seem to get the other two needed.

Then, as I was singing "We Will Rock You" and marking it off, I looked to see what the song was that I needed to finish the column.

"My Generation"???

That had been the previous song I was singing along to!!!

Hooray!!!

I won a free drink - LOL!

I very nearly got a virgin margarita, but the group was leaving.

Maybe next time?

Meanwhile, thanks, Firestone, for buying my nachos!

They gave me a $10 credit for my upcoming bday67.

Very nice to celebrate with Sandy and music!

Maybe I'll join her for karaoke there next Wednesday... it's been a while.

(smile!)

catching up with carolyn!

What better way to do so than in person, after such a lapse?
Having seen Sandy on Friday, I felt the need to connect with mi otra amiga.
When I asked earlier today if she'd yet seen the new documentary with Lennon, she had not, so we immediately made plans to see it together!
Very nice!
Not the movie, but seeing her.
"One To One: John And Yoko" was a train wreck.
Lots of audio clips of snippets of taped phone conversations, with the words also transcribed onto the screen - like, really?
Lots of camera pans of their two-room apartment, especially of the bedroom with the television omnipresent and always on even with no one watching it.
Lots of experiences with Yoko caterwauling as John gave her solo time on stage.
And all of it was just thrown together, as if the director had a severe case of ADHD.
Honestly, it was a relief for both of us when it ended!
i thank You, God, that it was short.
Afterward, we popped over to Carey Hilliard's on Abercorn, providing a bit of deja vu for me, but I didn't mention I'd been there just a few days earlier.
(smile!)
Plenty of menu choices!
That other time I had a bowl of Brunswick Stew and an order of french fries.
This time, it was the Shrimp Salad Plate, with green beans and mac'n'cheese.
Delicious both times!
Carolyn and I talk very easily and always have, so the two hours passed quickly!
Mostly it was stories of life with her cousin Craig, but that was fine.
He's such a hoot!
I encouraged Carolyn to get together with Sandy, and I hope they will.
Maybe the three of us can have an evening soon... that would be good.
Maybe by then I'll even have a phone again that will let me send any photos of such an event to my email.
That would be great!
(smile!)

sonrisa finalmente con una amiga

Of course I was out too late - Sandy was with me!
I'd texted her yesterday about going to improv with me, and, to my surprise, she said yes!
Very nice!
Then, as time neared for the show to begin, she texted at 7 PM that she'd meet me in the lobby - and when I arrived, she was there!
Even nicer.
It's been a hot minute since we two amigas have been together.
We even went out to dine after the show ended around 9:30 PM, going for an old haunt - Carey Hilliard's on Abercorn - for the next two hours.
Talking is still a little ... stilted? hesitant? slow?... but it was good to talk.

The Last Laugh improv show had been great fun for both of us, though.
Held at Jenkins Hall on the Armstrong campus, we both felt right at home when we walked in there.
The troupe was a little smaller this time, but the Friday night crowd was rowdy and loud!
That was great!
They like free events, just like we do!
The very first game got things rolling with all players in for "Objection!"
That had been an Odd Lot favorite, too, so I threw "the price of eggs" out there as a topic - and Ro and Nick picked it right up and lobbed it to CJ to start.
And so it went, from that tall cool dude discoursing about eggs until Jordan called him out on the hacky sack playing.
"Sustained!", cried Nick, so then super short Jordan had to explain the rules of that game, until Luke called an objection on her use of "feet" instead of "foot".
"Sustained!", cried Nick, leading to Luke having to talk of parts of the human anatomy...
and so on, until all seven players had at least one chance to speak.
All from the price of eggs!
(smile!)

Sasha was the main player in "Slide Show" of her trip to New Orleans, with the other six striking poses, tabula rasa style, every time she said, "Click!"
Then she would have to explain just what was going on there - hahahaha!
"LCD" started off with Deja as the first person in a deaf world, having to describe with body language that she was at the Waffle House, she was a shoe salesman, and her death was caused by a pair of Air Jordans.
I'll give her credit for getting that jump shot down pat!!!
That doesn't mean Nick, Liana, or Chloe guessed correctly what was going on, but it sure was a hoot to watch!
"Survivor" was kinda sorta like half-life, but instead of time being eliminated, players were.
Luke, CJ, Jordan, and Sasha were in Tahiti, but there was some confusion about who was to have made the hotel reservations and what had been done with the money.
When Sasha was voted off by the audience, the other three had to replay the scene, including all her lines, and then the audience voted off another player.
It ended up with CJ being the last man standing and he had to do the story all over, being sure to say the other three players' lines - and that was crazy!!!
I really did like that game!
So did Sandy.
But I think our absolute favorite was "Sex With Me Is Like...", with all players in.
The audience would give a suggestion, then the players would step forward with their response for that suggested word.
My favorite had to be Liana's for "grill".
"Sex with me is like a grill. I have two racks to put your meat on!"
Hahahaha!!!
I think I just got an insight into her character in "Ride The Cyclone"!!!
Hahahaha!!!
