fall flowers for the barry family

I'd gone out to Greenwich after the musical, drawn there.
That's when I noticed the rutted dirt road that ran by the lot I always visited.
In fact, there was a "Do Not Enter" sign on it that I had ignored.
But I had persevered in my determination to reach my goal.
That's when I saw the tattered remnants of the bouquet I last placed there.
Oh, that just would not do.

Today, after church at Asbury Memorial, I again drove to Greenwich.
Again I ignored the sign that bade me to stay off that road.
I had three bright bouquets that needed to be placed, and place them I did.
Ordinarily, I would have given one to Mama, then given the other two to Ronnie and Jean Marie.
This time was different.
Fall was about to begin and Mama liked that season.
Fall was the lead-in to all her favorite holidays.
That's why all three bunches of autumnal orange stayed where she was.
It very much brightened up the Barry lot!
(smile!
