That's Betsy, sitting in her usual spot between Mary and Becca, with no clue of what she had planned.
Her daughter, Addison, is at the end of the table, near where Jimmy, Betsy's husband and the girl's dad, would normally be for the Smiths & Kamerons Friday Fiesta.
However, he had abstained, as he was ill and didn't want to give that ill will to us.
Good for him!
The rest of the fellows on that side were present and accounted for: Mark, my brother Smitty, and my brother Tony.
That meant they had an empty seat on their side, but not for long!
I'm so glad that Robin has become a near-regular here with us at Jalapenos of Sandfly!
That left me at this end of the table, as usual.
So bright and colorful!
And we all talked of football and movies and Christmas plans and all manner of things!
Then, I realized that Claudia had not yet brought the bills around.
What's up with that?
Betsy had paid for everyone in our party!!!
All ten of us!!!
How very kind of her!!!
Merry Christmas, y'all!!!
