"I'm betting you're talking about your AMC A*List, aren't you? After all, you haven't talked about being able to shake your bootie just yet."
You got me. My right thigh isn't quite make to dancing form, but it is better. Well, most days. I definitely notice an effect from rainy days. We've had quite a few of those lately, with more on the way, all week long.
"So I see. I bet your yard is loving all that."Oh, yeah, my back yard in particular. It's a fright! But let's talk about the movies, shall we? I'll already spoken of my double header with Nicholas Galitzine yesterday, right?
"Yes, you did! That was all talked about, as they were second - or third - viewings of "The Sheep Detectives" and "Masters Of The Universe". So, those were your first two 'dances' on this A*List."Yeppers! Then, as a rarity on this Monday, I forewent Music Bingo to have a double header with mi amiga, Carolyn. Plus, both were the movies we'd wanted to see last week, so... there ya go. And I'm so glad we saw these! "Stop! That! Train!" was so much like the old "Airplane!" movies! We laughed and laughed at the antics of RuPaul and the other drag queens! Then we followed that up with something completely different: a Hong Kong film, "The Furious", is a masterpiece of martial arts cinematography!!! In particular, there's an upper floor fight scene between five people which is just stunning!!
"Sounds like something Ang Lee might have orchestrated."
Exactly! It was so beautiful to watch, and moved so fast, and went on for at least fifteen minutes. I cannot imagine how much energy those actors had to have. I'm thinking the director, Kenji Tanigaki, may have tried to keep that to only one or two takes, to keep it as fluid as it was. Carolyn has plans to see it again on Wednesday, but I have the American Legion meeting.
"Yes, you do. You know where you need to be 'at 6 PM on Wednesdays, into the foreseeable future', don't you? I know Brenda really likes that phrase you came up with!"
She's not the only one who does! It's a trip to hear my words spoken back to me at these Two First Posts meetings!
"And what's this that you've shown in this photo? A pizza with the movie?"It is, and not just any pizza, either. It's the new Hot Honey Sausage pizza! Ever since I had the hot honey wings, I've been interested in trying other food with that sauce. Well, let me tell you, for this one, the "hot" meant "spicy, spicy, spicy!", so I had to stop after half of it. Will I have it again? Possibly, but not as long as they have the pepperoni.
"I hear you! That's always your favorite!"
That's right. Okay, later, girlie!
