Such a party this was!
It was to have ended at 3:30 PM, but everyone was having such a wonderful time that no one wanted to leave.
The Drop-By Tea for Aunt Linda's 85th Birthday went on until 5 PM!
That's because Bobby and Penny had invited so many who knew their mom.
Folks who were part of Bobby's first congregation, people who were part of their childhood church, boys who were in Uncle Bob's Boy Scout troupe, neighbors who had moved years ago... so many people!!!
So, here are a few photos of those who came to celebrate the life of Linda Penelope Walker while she was still alive to enjoy their company!
The end!!!
(Get it?...
I'll wait for a minute...
Especially as this is an inside joke with the Brit I used to share lab space with at FSU...
and since I am in Tallahassee...
hahahaha!!! Hahaha!)

fb flashback from April 13, 2025:
"It was an absolutely wonderful day yesterday celebrating my mother's 85th birthday with a high tea drop by party.
Family from Savannah, Jacksonville, Columbia SC, Atlanta as well as friends from our childhood, her former students, church friends, Boy Scout friends, fellow teachers ... it was awesome!
Extra special touches with flower arrangements by my Steve. Cousin Faustina Smith, who came Thursday to help me prepare everything, Alex who helped make everything happen! My baby brother, Robert Walker from Columbia put all the finger sandwiches together while we decorated. And he brought gorgeous French macrons and the gourmet sides to go with mini cranberry or blueberry scones I baked. It was truly an event we are all very proud of for our Mother, grandmother and great grandmother!
Linda L. Walker enjoyed spending time with everyone and sampling some of the 8 hot tea varieties in family heirloom tea pots! The food, fellowship, a lifetime of memories, the laughter, having both great granddaughters there, it was perfect.
Thanks for letting me share our joy. Photo blast too... hope you enjoy."
