Hahahaha! Christina thought she was going to get away with just seeing one movie with me, but she had been the one to suggest "a movie or two" and I held her to it!
By the way, that photo was taken by her, not me.
No, my phone is still working perfectly again, so that's not the reason why she took it.
I just couldn't get the shot lined up and her boyfriend was on his way.
Looks like she couldn't line it up, either!
We were sitting in her car, trying to charge her phone, but in the photo, it looks like I'm the driver and she's the passenger.
Nope!
That's just how her phone 'saw' it!
Stupid smart phone!!!
Even dressed down in a t-shirt and ball cap, she still looks pulled together!
Her one complaint was that her earrings had gold in them instead of silver.
Most definitely a first-world problem!
Hahahaha!
The first one, seen at 11 AM, was "Kung Fu Panda 4", which is part of NCG Cinema's Summer Camp Film Festival.
(Notice those commas, sprinkled like glitter! Inside joke with Christina!)
I do so enjoy that movie, especially with my memories of going to it with her girls!
Speaking of them, they are off to a summer camp at Tybee.
She had to drop them off here in Savannah, so that's why she was in town.
That had been at 7 AM, so I let her nap during the movie.
(smile!)
But there was no napping during the horror movie at AMC!!!
I had been the one to suggest "Final Destination Bloodlines", not her.
That's because I wanted to see Tony Todd in action and hear his last words.
I had know him as Worf's brother, Kurn, in two different "Star Trek" series, one of which dealt with the Klingon's bloodline.
Nice coincidence, right?
Bloodlines and Oogway and all that?
And how was that movie?
To my surprise, it had a very good story!
It helped that it stood apart from others in the horror series, though she told me all of the "Final Destination" movies are stand-alone.
"That's because everyone dies," she told me.
My first niece had seen all of them, but didn't recall Todd's character.
That's because she had only regarded him as a hospital worker in three earlier films of the franchise.
Overall, a very nice day in her company!
i thank You, God!
Mi amiga Sandy was going to be at Midtown Sports Grill, so I was, too.
Elissa and Marcia filled out our booth for four!
Sara, the game emcee, gave us each two cards to play for each round - how very nice!
There's only one problem with that.
I have enough trouble trying to keep up with the songs on one game card!
Hahahaha!
"Movie Soundtracks" are certainly my jam, and the last two songs I needed for the double line of bingo were "Psycho"...
and "Star Wars" for the win!!!!
Absolutely perfect!!!
That meant my tall, cool, glass of lemonade was free!
Hooray!
What a marvelous Monday this has been!
Now to watch some more "Grimm".
I'm in the 6th, and final, season and intend to finish this week.
(smile!)
