thursday make-up game!

As you may recall, there was no joy in Mudville on Tuesday.
Oh...perhaps I didn't tell you the game had been rained out?
Well, it had.
The dancing bear psychologist claimed inundation by tests on brains.
Silly bear.
Didn't he know the zombies had made such things moot?
To make it up to me, he had agreed to attend a play with me...
Hooray!
It would be his first by the Armstrong Masquers...
Hooray!
The play was one of Shakespeare's comedies, "The Taming Of The Shrew"...
Hip hip hooray!
Why so?
Because Shakespeare is special to him, too.
When he was counseling men in a Georgia State Prison several years ago, he successfully started using Shakespeare to connect with them. Kentucky and Michigan had been using Shakespeare Behind Bars for the past twenty years. That program had been created by Curt Tofteland, a believer "that all human beings are born inherently good".
Me, too.

So, there we were, waiting in Jenkins Hall for the play to begin.
We had dined at The Galley, his first time eating there.
Cedric's first time there, too!
That's right!
Cedric had joined us, after the invite had been cleared with me.
As the bear said, "I know that Tina Tuesdays are special to you."
I daresay they're special to him, too.
(smile)

I was in the company of two gentlemen to watch a knave on stage!
To my left was the stalwart Brit, former Masquer himself, the accomplished Cedric!

To my right sat the running and dancing bear, Kevin, behaving coyly!
Perhaps he was hiding a belch induced by three helpings at dinner?
Nope, just being silly!

And guess what?
Our favorite waitress at Chili's was in the play!!!
She was the merry widow on Hortensio's arm by play's end.
Fabulous job, Mikala McFadden!
We look forward to seeing you again!
