happy international women's day!

What better way to celebrate this particular day in this particular month than with a play featuring only women in the cast?
Why, by sharing the experience with another woman!
Barbara and I had the great pleasure of attending this Southern Gothic treat tonight at Armstrong. What was it about, you ask?
Well, start with two sisters, on the wedding day of one of them to the other's former boyfriend.
Ouch.
Now, stir in the bride's best friend and the family's estranged Yankee cousin for a third bridesmaid, mixing well.
Then, to spice the potion, add a determined wedding planner, some pill-popping problems, and the inheritance from a dead dad.
Whew! What a heady brew! Stand back, but not so far that you miss anything in the fast-paced flurry!
To add to the excitement, this was the premiere presentation of "Third Finger, Left Hand" in Savannah! Not only that, but the playwright himself was in the audience!
Randall David Cook even stayed for an extended Question & Answer session afterward! He was thrilled to be in our beautiful town, thrilled to see his play performed again, thrilled with the interpretation by the director and actresses!
I was thrilled, too!
What a fabulous way to celebrate women!

Thank you for coming to the show, Faustina, and for taking the time to write about it afterwards!

Very happy that you enjoyed the show. Was a real joy for me to see it with such appreciative audiences, and in Savannah, no less. What a beautiful, interesting city. Hope I get to visit again soon.
